A promise is a declaration that binds the person who makes it to follow through with a certain act. Inability to keep a promise can have principled consequences. Our great and mighty GOD will never promise without keeping or fulfilling it. Numbers 23:19; 32:1-12. HE is not like man that HE should lie. One good example is how the LORD God delivered the Israelites out of the hand of the Egyptians (their oppressors), and to bring them up out unto a good land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites. Exodus 3:8.
The whole of man’s life is full of challenges that can make or mar him, for we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians 6:12. That notwithstanding, the great LORD God has enormous promises for whoever obeys HIS commandments and lives a righteous life. Some of those promises are as follows.
1. The LORD Himself shall fight for you. Yes, all those life’s hindrances bothering your, no matter how highly placed, HE will do the fighting for you as long as you keep obeying HIM. Exodus 14:14.
2. You will be protected and guided to your rightful position in life. May by you have been destined to be head in your workplace or community, as long as you live righteously, GOD will protect you and lead you rightfully to your great height and seat. HE will also defend you from all forms of enemies, be it spiritual or physical.
Exodus 23:20-23.
3. No one can enjoy life without good health and success. As an obedient child of GOD, HE will bless you, grant you good health, success, wealth, and also long life. You will live, multiply, and possess your destiny. Exodus 23:25-31.
4. The LORD God shall go over before you as a consuming fire. HE will comfortably lead you as a pillar of cloud by day and pillar of fire by night. Deuteronomy 9:3.
5. When you pray to GOD, HIS eyes and ears shall attend to you prayers.
2 Chronicles 7:14-16; Proverbs 15:29.
6. HE shall save you from famine and wars. HE will also defend you whenever trouble comes. Job 5:20; Psalm 20.
7. By obeying GOD, you shall not lack any good thing and your heart desires would be granted. Psalm 34:4,10; Proverbs 10:24.
8. Those plotting against you will be destroyed and your soul would be preserved and delivered from the wicked. Psalm 63:9,10; 97:10-12.
There are so may other promises and benefits of obeying and serving the LORD God contained in the Holy Bible. So, the choice is yours. Make up your mind now. Obedience is better than sacrifice. Don’t be rebellious. As long as you obey GOD, HE will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Jesus Christ. Philippians 4:19.
