For man to enjoy his life and dwelling, he has to abide by instituted law, which comprises commandments. A law is body of authorised rules and regulations that is used to rule a society and to control the behavior of its members, while a commandment is heavenly interdiction from God. Anything lawless is lifeless. In every kingdom, laws exists which guide its citizens as regards what to do and what not to do. Anyone who disobeys gets punished in return as stipulated. Every law has a wrath to be faced if disobeyed.
In JEHOVAH’S kingdom, there exists a law which comprises commandments, but one is great and also confirmed to be effective just like others. The commandment is not enforced on anyone. But the law of the commandment takes effect automatically as it is being obeyed. This great commandment, which is also a first, is to love the Lord GOD with all your heart, soul, and mind. This implies that you obey the Lord GOD in all effects. The second one is like unto the first, which instructs that you love your neighbour as yourself. The whole duty of man is to obey GOD. The whole law is to be obeyed without any excuse whatsoever.
